The show
Kiss & Cry was devised in 2011. This indescribable stage production, the fruit of the joint imagination of Michèle Anne De Mey and Jaco Van Dormael, as well as an entire team of brilliant creatives, has been in a perennial state of grace ever since its first performance.
Although the basic concept concerns the whole of humanity – our memory of beings that have vanished from our territory – the innovative nature of this living show resides in its unique narrative form. Whether it’s a film projected simultaneously in the theatrical space and time through the live creation of a non-world, or simple hands that become dancing characters in the midst of miniature landscapes.
After over 300 performances across the world, over 180,000 spectators and in eight different languages, this ambitious show is the result of a team effort that challenges boundaries in all artistic disciplines in order to create a new, unique piece of work every day.
